Urban Sketchers Doha Our goal is to create a welcoming space where people can slow down, connect with others, and appreciate the beauty of places through sketching.  Our Community Page  About us   Urban Sketchers Doha is a free, non-profit community that brings people together through the practice of on-location sketching. Founded and organized by Maria Theresa Tuates, the community welcomes artists, beginners, and anyone interested in observing and documenting the world around them through drawing.  The City is our Studio   Our sessions are simple and peaceful:  •Members find a comfortable place to sit and sketch. •We observe and draw the architecture, landscapes, people, and details of the location. •We spend around 1–2 hours creating our sketches. •At the end of the session, we gather our artworks, take photos of our sketches, and have a group photo. Our 1st Exhibition (Feb 2026)  Our Friday Mornings   Our community has conducted sketching sessions at various locations around Doha, creating visual records of the city while encouraging people to connect with their surroundings. Our activities can be viewed through our Instagram page @urbansketchersdoha   Thank you VISIT OUR PAGE  Urban Sketchers Doha Manifesto •We draw on location, from direct observation. •We draw what we see — capturing the places, people, and surroundings that tell the story of our community. •We create a visual record of our time and place through our sketchbooks. •We support each other, learn together, and encourage creativity without competition. •We respect the places we visit and aim to be responsible members of the communities we are part of.
